6L6GC AEG Telefunken

Post by bluedial »

Hello,

I've bought a quad of these, unfortunately they've survived just two weeks in my SF Twin Reverb and the seller didn't want to replace them, his explanation is that they are the finest West Germany 6L6GC and he hasn't any single complain on them.

I'd like to have your opinion, thanks.

RB

Hello,

Sorry for slow reply, I had a lot of spam topics meanwhile.

The tubes you bought are Russian 6P3S, they are 6L6, but without GC sufix and it is very dangerous to use them instead real 6L6GC.

They simply cant survive voltage higher than 250V on G2.

My advice is to return them back and to buy some real 6L6GC or Reflektor 6P3S-EV, they are a way better than 6P3S.

Best regards!

Dragan
